Getting more actively involved with the NE Chapter can provide you with even greater advantage. Our organization is 100% run by volunteers building a community of professionals. There is no better time to get involved than now.
Here are a few ways you can get involved in our activities:
Officers/Board Members - As a board member you share the challenge and rewards of building a local professional community. Our board members are responsible for setting up chapter events, reaching out to the local community to increase our membership, organizing and promoting our events, listening to our members, bringing valuable speakers to our events, and much more.
Committee/Board Members - We work as teams, and each of the board members will be glad to hear from you and welcome you to the committee that you would like to join. Our committees are:
Academic Community - This committee is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with colleges and universities within the footprint of the chapter.
Programs - This committee is responsible for selecting topics of interest for events, identifying discussion topics and themes for networking events, developing workshop agendas, identifying speakers, etc. for all local chapter activities.
Events and Marketing - This committee identifies venues and locations for events, provides food and refreshments, develops signage, announces activities and events in local publications, and maintains the web site.
Membership - This committee maintains the chapter membership database and develops and executes recruitment campaigns to promote membership and participation in PDMA.
Corporate Community - This committee is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with product companies within the footprint of the chapter. Activities include recruiting membership, event participation, speakers, sponsorship, etc.
