Driving Directions
Few industries have changed as dramatically as the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. In a little over 50 years since the discovery of the structure of DNA, the pharmaceutical industry has transformed itself from an industry that had relied extensively on serendipitous discovery to one that uses systematic scientific approaches and an understanding of human and molecular biology to develop targeted treatments.
The reward for a successful new drug can be enormous, but the cost of failure can be devastating. The opportunities and the challenges have never been greater. Come and hear our distinguished panel discuss innovation in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, and see what lessons your industry might learn from biotech and pharma.
