Innovate/Resonate

Tools for Change

In today's marketplace, it's not enough simply to anticipate where an industry is heading - successful companies break molds, creating revolutionary products and services that change industry paradigms. Industrial designer Stuart Karten will discuss processes and tools for developing the type of breakthrough ideas that resonate with consumers, addressing unmet needs, stirring emotion or giving cause for a smile. Using examples from his practice, Karten will describe how to nurture inventive, industry-shifting concepts that are rooted in corporate values, brand equity and, most of all, the user. This will include methods for gleaning actionable insights from ethnographic consumer observation, approaches to customer definition and segmentation, and manners by which to dissect client brands to drive next-generation products.

You will learn to:
· Pinpoint Sources of Customer Demand
· Empower Your Products to Establish Market Leadership
· Increase Sales through Market Ownership
· Use creativity to drive innovation.
