Being Global Means More than Hanging a Map of the World on the Wall

Presenter: John Slade

Obviously, globalization is the way of the future in software.   Yet many of us aren’t sure we fully embrace how to build products for  global markets.  In February, we heard some thoughts from a PM who has been through the  joys and tears of becoming global, and got a handy top ten list of things to do  when working with global teams.

This presentation covered:

  • The top ten list of things to do when working with global teams.
  • The common globalization mistakes and misperceptions that plague product teams.
  • How to get started if your boss just told you your next product needs to be global - and your company hasn't done it before.
