Wednesday, August 1, 2007 Ten Things You Must Know about New Product Development Presenter: Robin Karol, CEO, PDMA International PDMA Los Angeles is honored to have hadRobin Karol, CEO of PDMA International, speak at our chapter about the essentials of new product development! Robin drew from her 20+ years in product development and innovation, and from the contents of the new book she just co-authored titled New Product Development for Dummies. For those of you who know the "Dummies" series, it is for anyone but!
In addition, Robin spoke in her role as CEO of PDMA and provided a view into PDMA International's latest initiatives here in the U.S. as well as abroad. .
About the Speaker Robin Karol, in addition to being CEO of the Product Development and Management Association, is an adjunct full professor at the University of Delaware Lerner School of Business Administration where she teaches courses on Management Creativity and Innovation. Robin worked at DuPont for 23 years in various aspects of innovation and new product development, achieving the role of Director of Innovation Processes. A certified New Product Development Professional (NPDP), she received her PhD in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has numerous publications and has presented at many conferences and workshops. The Industrial Research Institute presented Robin with its Maurice Holland Award for the best paper in its journal Research-Technology Management in 2003.
