Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Intellectual Property
(But Were Afraid to Ask)

Presenter: Thomas Daly, Christie, Parker & Hale

Intellectual property laws can seem overly complex to the uninitiated, but you don't need a law degree to learn how to protect your inventions, products, and other IP. This evening with Thomas Daly of Christie, Parker, Hale explained what you need to know to safeguard your firm's most precious assets. Mr. Daly shared when and why it is best to use a patent, trade secret, trademark or copyright. He discussed ownership of inventions and issues to consider for startups and in employment contracts, how to file a patent and register a trademark or copyright, issues with domain names, and other valuable information about protecting critical assets.

One attendee told us:

I am very pleased to say that as an entrepreneur, who had an existing patent pending but did not know much about legal protections, your speaker and the opportunity to ask questions was invaluable, worth much more than the $55 paid. Thanks so much and please keep me updated about your topics related to startups and entrepreneur.
