On January 18, 2007, we learned how to improve the product development processes with practical intellectual property planning.
Jason Bernstein, an intellectual property attorney and previously a director of new product development for Ciba Vision, spoke about cutting edge protection issues facing developers of new products. He showed us how to:
- reduce the cycle time for designing and patent clearance
- improve the likelihood of protecting new products
- reduce the chance of infringing patents of others
He also discussed branding and copyright challenges in the 21st century and how to better protect your ideas.
