The purpose of this position is to lead cross-functional technical and business teams through a StageGate process to develop and launch new contact lens and lens care products, including business case development, regulatory approval, manufacturing scale-up and validation, marketing claims development and launch.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Planning, organization and execution of product development in compliance with Stage-Gate principles and processes.
- Prepares Gate deliverables for Gate decisions.
Manages communication within the project and with upper management. - Ensures compliance with all regulatory and quality requirements such as Design Control, SOP’s, and quality standards
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Required:
- Bachelor of Science
Preferred Level:
- Graduate degree (such as MBA)
Minimum Experience Required:
- 9~12 years experience in RD&E, marketing, manufacturing, etc
Preferred Level:
- 9-12 years in project management within medical device or other regulated industry
Minimum Skills Required:
- Good organization, multi-tasking, and communication skills to manage the various elements of project planning, tracking, and coordination – project coordination experience would be even better
- Technical / scientific background to understand and contribute to the project planning process and understand when deviations from the plan are meaningful or require alternative approaches
Preferred Level:
- Fluency in project management within a StageGate process
