Schwab Performance Technologies (SPT) provides a line of desktop software products and related services for investment advisors to increase their firm's efficiency improve their relationships with clients and make better informed investment decisions. The SPT product line includes two products: PortfolioCenter/Centerpiece - its flagship offering for portfolio accounting, performance measurement, and client reporting; Relationship Manager - a contact management and office workflow automation system designed specifically for independent investment advisors. SPT helps clients successfully use these products and integrate them into their practice through a combination of technical support, fee-based training programs, professional services, and relationships with integrated 3rd party services and products.
Job description:
The role requires strong management skills & business development experience. The candidate will have responsibilities in the following areas: 1) Market analysis: user / market research & problems, technology assessment, competitive analysis, 2) Quantitative analysis: market sizing, product performance, win/loss analysis, 3) Product strategy: product vision, business cases, project portfolio priorities, 4) Product planning: market / business requirements, product roadmap, use scenarios, internal & external test plans, release planning, 5) Product development: lead product mgmt efforts for specific releases or components within a release, ongoing support of the development team (SME), develop detailed product requirements, requirements management & sign-off, change management, performance targets, conducting external client testing & user acceptance. The candidate will be an integral member of the SPT product management team with joint responsibility for product success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4-5 years experience working on large, complex, and cross functional projects, with an emphasis on systems and technologies. MBA preferred, with training and experience with a variety of system development lifecycle methodologies
- Experience with financial services, particularly with portfolio management software, including tax-lot accounting and investment performance measurement methodologies
- Strong experience with requirements development, acceptance and beta test processes, and release management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop project documentation and management reporting
- A clear track record of delivering projects on time
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making and conflict resolution skills
- Must demonstrate a clear passion for client service and ability to discern and drive towards the optimal client experience with our products.
