| Next Event: McCormic's Create IT(R) Seminar |
PLEASE NOTE: The McCormick event has been postponed until further notice. Please check back for updates.
Coming in February, 2007:

Come join us for our PDMA get together at McCormick’s new Create IT ® Center in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
The Create IT ® center gives McCormick the enhanced capacity to anticipate, co-design and create consumer-centric new products. This center will provide the environment and technology to support our methodologies for ideation and prototyping and will ultimately inspire the genesis of innovative new concepts with higher probability of market success through the use of collaborative discovery-oriented methods.
During the course of the evening you will have the opportunity to network with other NPD professionals over drinks and hors d’ourves. You will be able to experience some of the tools and methods used by McCormick. They will demonstrate a real time opportunity mapping session that will allow you to provide your own insights and ingenuity to developing a new approach to the front end of innovation. You will also take a tour of the Sensory, Culinary and Create IT(R) centers and learn how they all contribute to McCormick's top and bottom line success.
We are excited about this event and the others we currently have cooking for 2007. Check the PDMA- Baltimore Chapter's website for updates and to register for this event: Click Here Please note: registration is limited, so sign up today!

"Meet
The Members!"
An
ongoing program designed for us all to get to know the local Product
Development capabilities.

During our kick-off meeting,
many of you told us that you wanted to learn more about
what other Baltimore-area companies are doing in product development
and to informally get to know other product developers. We plan
to meet that request with our "Meet
the Members" events.
To be successful, we need
your help. In fact, we will need everyone's help sooner or later.
If you would like your company
to share in the spotlight this year, all you have to do is prepare a
20-minute presentation about your company and your product development
program for one of our meetings (15 minutes of delivery and 5 minutes
Q&A) We are planning to highlight three local companies at each
of the two events so presentation space is limited.
Think about what you would
like to know about your colleagues and their companies because they
are probably thinking the same things about you! For example:
-
About Your Company
- Products and Services
- Subsidiaries and/or divisions
- Size (e.g., employees, revenues)
- Locations
- What differentiates you from your competitors?
- Challenges, Successes, etc. - war stories, good or bad (this
should be a focus!) .
-
About Product Development
Organization
Staff: "Who can do the cool stuff"
Memorable projects
Process (PDMA certification, stage-gate, etc.)
We are excited about these
two events and the others we currently have cooking, so bookmark
this page and keep checking for updates and let's have a great 2005
in PDMA.

our "Meet the Members"
series and inquiries about how you can take part, contact Jenny Regan
